The Abbey

The abbey of the sisters Birgittinessen lies flat beside the splendid Saint Martinuskerk in the centre of Weert. In this dutch city it is agreeably stay, especially in the centre with its typical squares. The surroundings of the city have been confessed for its beautiful nature with a lot of bicycles and walking route. You can get information by the local tourist centre opposite the abbey. 

The sisters gladly receive guests who want to spend some days in their abbey.
The guest house remains the complete year opened for groups and for individual guests.

There are 19 one and double rooms. For the guests there is the refectory, the conference room with technical supplies, the library and the television space.  
There is alslo a chapel in the house, where you can pray together with the sisters. The house whole provides  central heating. The wide garden has view on monumental towers of the Sint Martinuskerk.

The sisters look after regularly guided tours by the abbey. You have also the possibility to organize a meeting in the abbey. Lunch or diner can be take care of.
